I just called Cap one and BOA and both asked if I could pay because I am a few months late. I said I could not make a payment at this time. They both said OK give us a call if you can make a payment.

No pressure, neither rep could care less and could not end the call fast enough. I was all prepared to go thru the ringer and nothing. The reason I called BOA was the C1 rep did not seem interested. It was like they were reading the same script. I am not sure if it is a new strategy on there part.

My guess is that the "new" strategy is to just turn your account over to an attorney to file suit or a debt collector to try and collect. All you did was let them know that it was going to be difficult to get anything out of you. Saved the guy on the other end the hassle of calling you and finding out for himself.

You might be right. I am 108 days on cap1 and 76 days on BOA, so I think it is kind of early for that. I am guessing they work on commision and when you say you can't pay, they move on and try to find someone who will. I called around 730 pm est, maybe the sharks had left for the day.
