im being sued by capital one for $1,125 i tried to settle for $700 thats all i can borrow but they wont work with me. I'm not working right now and i'm a single mom. They cant garnish any wages since im not working but I do have a house. What should i expect when i go to pertrial?

I would contact them and see if they will agree to your making payments to bring your account up to date. You don't owe them that much. I made 2 payments of $186 to bring mine up to date, and am now making $50 a month payments. They refused to settle with me, and since it was my last credit card, I caved in.

Perhaps you can work out a payment plan with the judge if they won't cooperate by offering the $700 toward the amount. If all fails and the judgement is granted, try to get it paid off with tax refund, or when you return to work.

Capital One is a b*tch to deal with.
