Request for Dismissal of collection case

I went to court and the attorney for Capital One did not show up the judge dismiss the cae without prejudice. however the attorney said he never received the court date and filed a motion to refiled the case. The court clerk gave me a case management form to fill out and file with court. I was advise that since I am not the person they have assigned this alleged contract to I should file a motion to dismiss. my question if i file this motion do i have to send a copy to the plaintiff or just file it with court.
