Here we go again. You guys were a great help when these guys came after me on an account which the case got dismissed due to being beyond the SOL. Now they have contacted me in regards to an account for my wife. I
In November they sent information on a credit card they were trying to collect for. I promptly returned a debt validation letter and heard nothing. Now in April 5 months later they send me a letter with a letter saying who the original lender was and enclosed an affidavit showing Midland Credit Management as plantiff and my wife as defendant. We have not been served anything.
This just does not seem right. How should I proceed from here. I don't know exact dates but I know this has to be near SOL.

I would respond telling them that what they provided is not proper validation and that, per the FDCPA, until they validate the debt, collection efforts MUST cease - which includes filing suit or contacting you for any reason other than to supply the validation you've requested.
