My husband had a credit card. Went to collection. My husband owe the credit card company $558. The collector is charging my husband interest on the credit card. As of today, he owes $709. Is that right? Can the collection company do this?

which card is it?also check you cardholder agreement.some will allow interest to acrue, but if they sell the debt then the buyer is not allowed to charge interest.check to see if it was assigned or sold.a big difference.
