I received a VM from a number 888 580 4441 and it claimed i won something to call and i knew it was suspicious so i called back and it was the CDS collection trying to collect on an old payday loan.
I have not ever received anything in writing from them i just started getting calls and when i tried to ask for there address they would not provide it.
I did receive the acct# with them but nothing else and know they are calling saying you have had ample time to resolve this matter and i have never even received anything from them.
Does anyone have their address?

This same company has called me several times regarding money they say I owe them. I gave them a check by phone but I became suspicious when I returned the call and they said the person I was looking for did'nt work there. I stop payment on the check they continue to call an threatned me about making a payment. I have spoken to several people at this number that no longer work there my wife called back today to get more information and when she gave the reference number listed of the letter sent out to me they were unable to pull up any information. This particular bill they say I owe was back in 1988. If anyone has information on this clear debt solutions LLC 286 Schenck St North Tonawanda, NY 14120 please let me know.

Bud Says Consumer Comments Below

Here we go again???another slimy, illegal bottom feeder operation has popped up in Buffalo, NY trying to collect on old, worthless, out of statute debts. Owner Jamie P. Belstadt, a retread of the collection business is trying to collect on debts that are 8+ years old. The documents we saw appear to have been produced by a second grader.

John D. Yim, 36, of North Tonawanda, NY, Vice President of another junk debt buyer called CNE Associates; LLC is churning out the phony documents. Vision Credit Solutions, LLC and CNE Associates, LLC show NOT to have any debt collection license or Surety Bond in any state we checked.

In his phony paperwork, collector Yim refers to the consumer as a ???defendant??? which appears to violate federal law. His ridiculous form would be better suited as toilet paper than anything worthy of validity. It is pure garbage, nothing he states is true, he makes statements that false, misleading and appear to violate federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

All of these bogus organizations are nothing more than smoke and mirrors to intimidate, harass, lie and mislead consumers into thinking they owe money on worthless accounts. This is typical ???Buffalo Style??? debt collections that we???ve seen dozens of times.

These organizations are operating illegally, the accounts have no validity, and the statements they make are false, misleading and ripe with lies. John D. Yim has no idea of what he is doing; Vision Credit (started April 2008) and owner Jamie P. Belstadt are as illegal as all the other affiliated organizations collectively known as the Mackinnon group out of Buffalo.

Save your money, these creeps are new players at the old con game; expect the usual threats of pending litigation, posing as lawyers, police and court officials. No one should fall for this scam. If Vision Credit Solutions, CNE Associates or Tri-Financial contacts you, contact us for assistance and referral to a local consumer law professional.

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email the details w/your location. Assistance and referral to a consumer legal help may be available.

I too got the SAME call!!! I called them back and they would not budge off the OVER INFLATED number of $290.00 more than my original Payday Loan of $300.00.
I told them I refuse to pay almost $300 more than my orig debt especially since I paid over $350 in Interest on the $300 loan already...They would not budge.

I called the original company I got the Payday Loan from and they said they couldnt accept payment and that they sold it to CDS...

Anyone with any suggestions or help please contact me at mgranto68@yahoo.com

Thank you

This company has been calling daily for the past month or so. They say it's in regards to a payday loan I took out back in December of 07. They have threaten me multiple times with legal action yet nothing ever comes of it. I told them I needed validation of the debt and all they sent me was something on their letter head saying I owed the money. When I told them this wasn't enough, the individual said he was looking at my signed loan document. When I asked to see it he refused. Then I spoke with another individual who said they didn't have copies of signed loan documents. So someone is lying. I'm going to send them a debt validation letter plus a cease and desist letter. I guess my question is, can they take me to court for this debt without ever providing me with sufficent backup.

I am getting calls from a guy with a deep voice at "Tri-Financial" telling me I owe $63 on an old Wachovia bank account that I know I voluntarily closed with a zero balance. They call me at my office 3-4 times per day and are very rude. I ignore their calls but they won't stop calling.

so i got a call from these people telling me they are sending me a supoena for court claiming they are attorneys for a pay day i took out a while ago which i included in a bko. when i informed them of that they porceeded to tell me the bko laws wouldnt protect me and if i didnt pay 820 (the loan was only for 300) that they would so me for malicious intent to defraud a creditor. Mind you, the creditor they bought this debt from was is on my bko which is do to be discharged in 10 days. The creditor was notified before they sold this debt and no one showed at my 341 meeting with the creditors. I told vision credit solutions that refuse to pay them anything. Am i right in my actions?

My aunt just called me who lives in a another state and said she got a message from these people for me. They left a message on her voicemail saying that I needed legal representation to call them and left a claim number. The guys name was Micheal Pittman.
This is crazy, because I've never ever used my Aunt for any type of reference what so ever and she just moved to that state and her number is only like 2 months old. We have no idea how they got their number. I'm thinking they did a search on the internet and found some of my relatives with published home phones and started placing calls. They have to be trying to collect on an old debt maybe even one that was included in my BK 3 years ago because anybody needing to call me now has my current information.

This debt collection agency and they are trying to collect a debt that was entered in some time in May 2007. On or about June 2, 2007 I became aware that my birth certificate, social security card and other identity papers for my children and fiancee were stolen from my vehicle, because I was using that documentation to acquire assistance from a local Human Resources Agency. I had filed a police report with the Coolidge Police Department and I suspected my cousin who has a drug problem because $400.00 went missing at about the same time our identity docs went missing. The documents were never recovered by the police. During this time period, We suspected that my cousin used my fiance's banking information and my identity to get online payday loans in unknown amounts. I became aware of this when a man from Clear Debt Solutions dba CDR contacted my mother at her house looking for me around September 2008. This man, Jack Prescott, a collections agent threatened my mother that if I did not call back that he would file criminal charges. Since this is a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, I had my fiance contact him back and advised as such and to advise CDR that this was not a valid debt since it was taken out by another person using stolen identity. Mr. Prescott was still adamant that I was responsible and became belligerent, so my fiance hung up. Three months passed and I had heard nothing from CDR or Mr. Prescott. My mother got another call in late December, early January of 2009 from this Mr. Prescott under the guise of wanting to discuss my Social Security application, I do not know how this collection agency became aware of my application. My fiance called and again spoke to Mr. Prescott about this and told him again for the second time that this was not a valid debt and to quit calling. Today, May 27, 2009; My mother received a call from another person with CDR by the name of Chariza indicating that if I did not call them back that I would have a warrant issued for my arrest because of this invalid debt. So I called and spoke to Mr. Prescott who again tried to pressure me into paying this invalid debt, this time he was threatening me with criminal prosecution if I did not pay this payday loan, that I never took out.I then went off on the guy and he stated that I should watch my back because he would get a subpoena or a warrant to have me taken into custody and my car would be impounded. He then became condescending when I stated that I did not have a drivers license and threatened me that he could prover that the loan was done over my computer's IP address and that he could prove that I had used this email that was assigned to this loan, I had stated that I had no email address and that I my fiance had a computer with a wireless modem and anyone could with a wireless card could access the modem. He then made me upset and I hung up due to the harassment. My fiance Robert called and spoke to Mr. Prescott and he was given the same attitude and threats. Robert then stated that he would file a FDCPA complaint with the Justice of the Peace and hung up.

You don't file FDCPA complaints with a JP. Follow Chrys' advice above for complaints. You stated you filed a police report but if you have not already done so, go to www.ftc.gov and fill out the online ID Theft affadavit. Then go to www.annualcreditreport.com and pull all 3 of your credit reports and see if any fraudulent accounts have been opened. Also, I would pull your Chexsystems report as well. Follow the steps on the FTC website as far as sending the IDT Affadavit and police report to the CA's. Send the same info, plus proof of identity and your credit reports to the Credit Reporting Agencies if there are any fraudulent accounts or inquiries. They will place Fraud Alerts on your credit files and they must permanenetly suppress any accounts or Inq's you identify.

I pulled my credit report on Monday and noticed a collection in the amount of $1,562.00. It was for a payday loan I had taken out in September 08. I called the collector which was Vision Credit Solution, LLC. The first guy Mr. Stevenson tried to work something out with me. But the amount he was talked I wouldn't have until September. He tried to get a loan from a bank to pay them off. I fell for it and attempted to but was unsuccessful. When I called him back, I was unable to talk to him. Instead I talked to another person. Who told me that if I didn't come up with the money they were filling in court TODAY and that I will be picked up on fraud charges! Well of course I don't have the money and will not until September. Can they really lock me up on fraud charges? I live in Maryland and the payday loan was through Cash Net USA. Please help me, what are my rights and what can they do to me?

I have one more question I was going to get a pre-paid credit card and send VCS a payment of $50.00 each month until September when I can pay the account off totally. But when I went to there website and read the statement at the bottom of the page that said it will not stop any legal action if the arrangement was not agreed upon in writting or by phone. Should I make this payment or should I wait until September?

I received a call last night and today from the above number. Yesterday a message was left by someone named Joseph Strauss. He said that he was calling in regards to a state and federal matter regarding a returned check. I haven't had any checks in years. The message said that time was of the essence or there would be more legal problems coming my way....I am scared because I don't want to get into any trouble and not sure what to do.

I asked a few questions about VCS and received the answer on here. The advise was great. However I still had to pay them debt! VCS wanted $240 payments from me every month until I paid them. They threaten me with criminal charges and all. But when I broke it down to them that what there were doing was illegal! And started asking them questions about who they really we're there attitude changes. I made the send me a validation of debt and even told them that I had been talking to the Attorney Generals office! They we're quick to take whatever payment I was willing to give them. It was truly amazing to see how the guy I was talking to(who could not approve anything lower then the $240) suddenly became a supervisor the next time I talked to him! Do not let the punks scare you the do not work with attorneys! When I asked them for a license for the attorney they could not provided it! On last thing I brought a Walmart prepaid card for them to withdrawal the money off of!

I contacted CDR from a voicemail that was left from their inhouse attourney. They stated that i owed a payday loan and they were going to sue. I hung up that very second! 5 days later i had been served with all the court paperwork and now i have a scheduled court date!
BE CAREFUL, they do have attourneys working there and they will sue. I tried to call back and now they arent allowed to help me because its already in litigation.

That's stupid.

Twenty-odd bucks to send $300?

Try Wal-Mart. A $300 money order is 49 cents. And a stamp is another 44 cents. Total cost: 93 cents. And they still don't have your bank account info.

Shove off, shill.
