I Need some help!! I am not sure what to do or how to do it. Here is my story....I have around 60K in CC debt.
Location: Califorina
I just received a letter from Chase and they are asking me to contact them in before 15 day or they are going to start the process for a lawsuit.(90 days out) My deby with Chase is 15k. What is the best solution for this? My over all goal is to really understand how this all really works and can be resolved. I been reading hours on this web site and look into a debt settlement company. I was not feeling the trust level was their. Then I called to get some help and guidance and was basically stopped at the 1800 gate keeper selling me something from the law office. So, I thought I would try it this way. Right now at this time in my life I need help from these people NOT PRESSURE! That's the last thing I need.
If someone can support/direct/help me that would be great!
Thanks!

Hi J_G34,

That's a sizable chink of debt. DS would not stop the process at all, if a creditor feels they might sue, they will sue a lot faster if you hire a DS company as that amount of debt would take a LOOOOOONG time to save up settlement money for, and time is something you just don't have the luxury for, unfortunately.

I would suggest heading to a bankruptcy attorney for an evaluation of your financial condition first, before you make any decision as that decision will impact you for years to come. I am assuming that your financial situation is decreasing and that you are swiftly headed towards insolvency, if you are not there already.
