Two Companys claims they own same account???

Hello all
I have done a credit report and found mistakes that needed to be taken care of.

I had notice that one of the judgments was list from worldwide assets. No contact information was given.
I disputed the information got it deleted from transunion but it was some how verity by experian.
I contact king’s county small claims court which was nice enough to find the records of this judgment. They only had the law offices which the judgment was place by.

Now here is where it gets confusing for me.
Once I contact the law office of fabiano they informed me that they represent Worldwide which represents Providian bank.
Now that rang a bell!!!
He read me the account number I stopped him and said" that account is no longer with Providian but with Chase Bank now"

I had contact Chase regarding this account and they claim that they have purchased all accounts from Providian and Wubu.
Now I am confused.... I have a letter from Chase claiming that the account is no longer active and has been deleted from there system.
But.. The law offices claims that they do not understand why Chase will have ownership of this account and are seeking payment.
What do I do???
I live in New Jersey and was never contact by any of companies list above.
The judgment was placed in New York City do they have the right to just place the judgment against me without contacting me?
The law office also claims that they sent a letter to my prior address in nyc I told them I lived in New Jersey for more then 10years.
They also claim that someone sign for the letter. I ask for proof and he said that is was signed by a Sara Doe??? Sarah does exist but the last name is wrong. They also claim that the sign letter can not be found??
Please help me I don’t know what my next step should be?

I ask for the telephone number of Worldwide Assets so that I can contact them directly and they would not share any information with me. I wanted to do a Validation of debt but who should I send it to?

I can not contact Providian bank cause it no longer exist.. I can not find WorldWide Assest Information and Fabiano is just waiting for a payment while Chase says we own that account no payment needed.
