can a debt collector actually send a letter or try to collect a debt from a 5 year old? My 5 year old had blood work done and the hospital sent the bill in her name. I have called them to correct it, but the never did. Now a debt collector has sent a letter in her name.

My mom got a call from a cc company the other day and they told her the credit card my dad opened two years ago was in default and he was in serious trouble.
Mom said she would tell him, but it may be a while before they could talk with him--since he has been dead for 27 years :lol: Turns out, they were looking for somone with the same name-different town..
