Hi everyone. Looking for some help.

Late April, the law firm representing Citibank sued me for a little bit over $7k + the other fees associated with the case.

I moved out of my ex girlfriend's last November 2009 so I haven't had a chance to check ANY of my mail. This is my fault. I should've requested to get my mail forwarded. Since then, I have been living in a different city (still in Texas). I just got all my mail today when the ex's little sister gave me the things I left behind.

My question is..... what do I do at this point? I'm so confused. On the county website, I was able to locate my case. Here's what I see.

Late April, the law firm submits his petition. A week later the court issues the citation to the "atty's office for private service." The same day, it says...

CITATION
MY NAME - Unserved

I'm so lost and don't know what to do. Should I just call his office and see what could be done? I do not have any money. I have another credit card I'm dealing with plus school loans I'm trying to defer. In the meantime, I'm barely getting by (currently living on a friend's couch).

Please help.
