Report them to the BBB, FTC and your Attorney General's office. I would go into detail about what they said, also make sure you state the date, time, and the name of the representative who called. I would also send a complaint letter to the corporate office of Citi. You might even consider writing an article and submitting it to 'The Consumerist', a website that reports dirty deeds such as this. Do everything you can think of to get the word out!

I would definitely report them. I know that Citi was a royal pain when I went through debt consolidation several years ago. I swore I would never deal with them again and yet what did I do last year but take a loan out with Citi Financial.
Sounds like you definitely have a good case to report them. Good luck!

I've had a number of calls from Citi now. They are by far the most annoying callers, 4-8 times a day until I answer. Then again starting 2-3 days later. And while they are not pleasant to talk to, I'm not getting threats at all.
