what kind of help are you looking for? A lot of these companies like to claim that they cannot accept payments other than check by phone, or credit card payments. this is false. they are allowed to accept other forms of payment, but they just want the money NOW. In their defense and in the interest of honesty, I understand why they claim this, because I am sure that they are tired of hearing people lie to them and say "the check's in the mail".....I dont condone their actions but i do at least understand why so many collectors instantly assume that every debtor on the phone is lying to them.

Ok, youre in nebraska......let me check on a couple things and get back to you soon about the payment issue. There is a portion of the UCC that requires them to accept your payment or they are in default for that amount, which means they can no longer collect that amount from you. But, this is within the ucc and not all states use that.
