What does CMC hearing mean?...........I have a court date of 12/2009, but I recieved this letter awhile back giving me a date of 6/24/2009. This was sent to me in a envelope, that paper itself does not containe an offical seal. This was sent by the Colletor/attorney.....

Someone PPPPPPPPPLEase HELP :?:

I forgot to mention the date 12/2009 the paper had an offical seal. The new date 6/24/2009 is for the CMC hearing......

I do believe that this is a case management conference......typically a sort of "pre-trial" meeting where both parties get together and try to work something out before the case goes full-blown into the courtroom. Check with the court clerk's office tomorrow morning to make sure that this is legit. Then, DO NOT MISS IT if it is legit.....

Thanks for the info..........this has my stomach in knots,I only owe 1,195....but I can't afford it. All this trouble for me, geez.
Good, so there may be a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak right?.....The Attorney for the Credit card company know's I have no job and income is child support only, plus I had a fee waiver for when I first filed. I offered to pay 20 per month if they could lower the amount and stop the high late fees. I was ignored. So perhaps they are willing to lower it or work something out to where I won't jump off a cliff.....
