How late can a creditor call for past due payments?
What are the hours they can call? I just got a call at 8:00 pm ( a few minutes ago) from one of my credit cards which is with T&C. THey also called me Thursday and I called T&C and they said they would call them and tell them a payment was sent out Tuesday, July 11. To me I don't think T&C ever called them?? I told the person from the credit card collections that T&C sent a payment on Tuesday. I know when I call on Monday they will say what they told me on Thursday. THis credit card company hadn't gotten a payment since May. Now I areally am wondering about T&C and how they do they're paymens. Has anyone else had trouble with T&C Not making payments - I usually do Western Union and one time I sent a money order and they got the payment late. Thanks for letting me vent my frustration. This is the only credit card or creditors that call me now. But I will call T&C again on Monday and talk to Jessica and ask her to call this company!! I am mad right now. Karen

They can call between the hours of 8am-9pm in your time zone. Which credit card company is calling? I haven't had any problems with them not getting payments sent. You stated they hadn't received a payment since May, Has this card been with T&C since May? I was sending my payment by money order on Fridays and they were receving them on Wenesday of the next week, which made them payments late, so I went back to sending it Western Union. I was told that when you do Western Union, that they send the payments the following Monday.

I also always send my payments Western Union because of the timing and because someone else had a payment lost that was by money order. I would definitely call T&C to find out what's going on but you will be disappointed to find out that Jessica is no longer there - I know I was very disappointed to find that out but did talk to someone who was very nice and helpful.

Was the call from a Collection Agency or from the Original Creditor? Original Creditors are not legally bound by the fdcpa. Many adopt the FDCPA as a policy, but legally they can call whenever.

If you got the call at 8:00 PM exactly , then auto dialer probably started dialing prior to 8:00 , but the call was not connected till 8:00, I know thats lame, but will most likely be their excuse.

I started with T&C in March. The call was from Applied card visa and I got it right at 8:00pm I looked at the clock when they called. When I called T&C on Thursday I spoked to Faye and she said that whoever I spoke to was to call Applied Visa or whatever it is called and I don't think she ever did. I will call them on Monday. I like Faye at T&C she is nice and friendly and helpful. I have gotten two calls from this company and a letter and email! all this week. I only sent a money order once but will keep sending the money by Western Union.
Thanks for your help.

call durng grace period.
washington mutual calls every day from the 3rd to the 15th because i missed a payment once. my grace period isn't up until the 15th. they even call sat. and sunday at 8:00 p.m.
to make it worst they are using federal tax money to pay people in the philapines to do the calling. i thought federal money was ment to stimulate u.s. business not philapines
