I received a collection letter from fbcs in regards to a credit card debt with merrick bank. My question is since I know the debt is mine there is no need to send validation letter? Or should I? I haven't read any good things about fbcs collection agency

Yeah…send fbcs a debt validation request letter in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they give you a valid proof, then try to set up a payment arrangement with them.
