I have a query. Can a debt collector call me at my residence if I have asked them not to do so?

Nope they can't!

They are violating the FDCPA rules, and it's time you can sue them!

What's the perk?? If you have a good lawyer and you win the case then you might be compensated upto $1200

Have you sent a Cease and Desist letter?

A debt collector can call you at your residence unless you have sent a cease and desist letter to him. The debt collector can't call you after receiving the cease and desist letter. But he can take legal steps against you for collecting the debt.

The debt collectors are not supposed to call at your cell phone, so they will call at your residence to contact you. If you don't want that, send a Cease and Desist Letter.
