I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading . . . . Getting cash bonuses for the most express payments? Think about that the next time some collection agency tells you you must western union or overnight a payment! You could be just putting more money into that nasty person on the phone's pocket!

Very interesting. I worked as a debt collector while in college...soft collections is what I did...nothing serious. Anyway, I can tell you that there were several collectors getting bonuses for Western Union payments. I didn't work there very long and was not in the thick of it...but from what I experienced that article has truth in it. I was not aware of some things like the paper buyers though. I think I will work out my debt with the creditor not an agency or not at all.
