I READ SOMEWHERE THAT A COLLECTION COMPANY THAT FILES SUIT HAS TO DO SO ,,,IN THE CITY THAT YOU ORIGINALLY SIGNED THE APPLICATION..... iS THAT CORRECT ?????

A CA has to file where you live; that is required by the fdcpa.
A CA has to file where you live; that is required by the fdcpa. An OC could attempt to file in their own locale -- serving a foreign summons would be their challenge; you could also argue/motion for a change of venue if you get served outside of your district.
