I recently had a tmobile phone but it was under my roomates account. i stopped using the phone about three months ago due to the fact that she was moving out and i was not going to be using the phone any more. She contacted me today and told me that a collection agency had called her and said she owed $500 on that account. Would the debt ultimatly be put on her and if she decides to take me to court on this, how would the outcome come out?

Did you give her back the phone? You should ask her to get a detailed accounting of the service and look it over to see what you may be responsible for. She is ultimately responsible for the debt, but she CAN sue you for your share.

Whatever part you owe, make an arrangement with her to pay it back. If you determine that these charges were made after you stopped using the service then inform her it was her responsibility to close out that phone as you couldn't do it since it isn't in your name.
