I went through a fertility Clinic in 2005, I paid my invoices in full at the time. 2 years later I got an invoice from them and was told that I need to write a letter to cacel my contract. I believe that I sent the letter, however I do not have any proof that I have sent the letter. I have now bee contacted by a collection agency, want to collect my debt. I have written a verification letter which I will send, but what are my options and how can I resolve this.
Sincerely
AJ

It will be difficult for you to prove that you have cancelled the contract without that letter. Search for the letter or any other document which may prove that you have cancelled the contract. Yes, ask the collection agency to send you a debt validation letter. If they are not able to send a validation letter to you, then send a Cease and Desist letter to them.
