It is important under any circumstance beyond life and death to always keep your cool when talking to a collector. If you get a jerk on the line then keep repeating to yourself, what goes around comes around and I'm sure you don't want to be one of the persons who gets hit on the downswing.

It is ok to be angry at the situation but it isn't ok to take it out on anyone. If your talking to a jerk just tell them, if you don't start talking to me with the smallest amount of decency then this conversation is over.

Keeping your calm will allow you to take controll of your thought process and not get pressured into somehting you can't do. It is NEVER good for you or anyone to agree to somehting you can't do. It creates a more hostile enviiornment and if you are working with someone who might treat you right it will lead them to believe you were intentionaly dishonest.

Being calm in stressful situations will allow you the ability to take more notice of the conversation going on. Which is eextremely important even when not being contacted by a collector.

Don't let anyone make you angry. I know it is very hard sometimes but it is much better to follow the golden rule than not. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you instead of helping to create an even more hostile fire. Band + Bad doesn't equal right.

Any remeber. Not all collectors aren't spawns of satan. If you go into a situation believing you are going to be treated badly chances are you won't dissapoint yourself, you will be treated badly because it will be in your attitude. If someone is treating you like dog poo then you need to interject that you need to speak to speak to someone who has an ounce of respect for other people in the world, or hang up.

FYI, As Usual Graet Information. I know I need to listen to it. I am not one to keep my cool sometimes. KYSIDE38
