Plain Green Loans
Is anyone posting on this a California attorney? I am, haven't handled a case like this, but am trying to get up to speed as I'm shocked by the interest rate. I handled a case recently that indirectly involved those who I think victimized homeowners facing foreclosure. The California Attorney General's Office did a great job on that. I'm really impressed by Kamala Harris. Is anyone coordinating communications to the AGs office about Plain Green Loans?
My hunch is that they won't be able to use the California court system to enforce judgments. I would be interested in knowing if the credit agencies will report anything having to do with Plain Green Loans.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Plain Green Loans and CA
I had a loan through Plain Green, sent them the letter stating the violations with my state laws, along with a listing of account transactions showing what was borrowed, what has been paid, etc. And then said that I am willing to pay the 53.06 remaining in principal. In march they sold my account, I have now been contacted by legitimate Collection agency, saying I either need to settle, pay up, or go to court. and I owe over $1800.
I have already requested the validation letter from the CA and she is sending it over, the CA was actually very firendly to talk with and deal with - and she said they have another account they got from plain green that the person is saying the same as me (not licenesed in my state, too high interest rates, etc). but at the same time, she has nothing indicating that she is to handle this accountany differently than any other account they collect on, so she will continue to do what she is supposed to do - which is attempt to collect this debt, or else move it forward for legal action.
What is my next step, what can I do now??????
I have a current loan and live in CA
I took out a $1000.00 dollar loan and have already made 10 payments of $119.58. So I've already paid back what I borrowed plus $195.80 and my payoff date isn't until sometime in March of 2013!!
When I spoke with Plain Green if they report to the credit bureau, they told me they don't. So I'm paying for a loan that doesn't even count towards my credit. AH.
I just found out PLAIN GREEN is ILLEGAL in CA. What do I do?!?!?

Plain Green is an illegal tribal lender. Your loan is paid in full. Follow the link in my signature line for information on how to deal with them.
