my loan started with PayDayMax and then they sent it to Credit Protection Depot, and now CPD is saying that they will send it to another outside source. Is this normal practice for these pdl companies to just keep passing around my information? I have been ignoring Credit Protection Depot after reporting them, etc.,but they just sent this to me......

Your bank returned the debited transactions to repay your loan obligation. Your account is now seriously delinquent. I have made several attempts to contact you both by phone and e-mail, with no response by you. I am attempting to make arrangements to settle this account. I am the last contact you will have with Credit Protection Depot before this account is turned over to an independent outside agency.
I feel I should remind you that your agreement states, you will be responsible for all collection fees, court costs and attorney fees associated with collection of this debt. If the account is turned over to an Outside agency they will charge additional fees over and above the amount you currently owe and will take whatever steps necessary for the total fees due which could possibly include a court appearance for a possible judgment be issued against you for the repayment of this legally binding debt.
I also feel I should tell you this action may not only affect your credit report rating but is also listed on the Tele Track System, which is used by Cash Advance Loan companies, rental companies, and other businesses, in determining whether or not to approve a loan. This could prevent you from even receiving a cash advance loan any where in the U.S. We must require that you render your payment in the amount of $1065.59 via western union quick collect or money gram immediately. This payment reflects your balance as of November 9th 2010.

the amount they say I owe them keeps getting bigger and bigger...the original loan was for about $600, but they wanted me to pay over $800 for it, I know I overpaid the last time that i dealt with them and feel that should cover what I originally owe now, but I just keep getting emails from them, as they increase the amount owed.

has anyone actually ignored any of these companies and the companies just give up and move on? I dont want to mess up my credit anymore than it already is and I am trying really hard to avoid filing bankruptcy and getting my regular bills caught up. I will have a few sane days and then one of the companies will send me another email, then i get all worried again...:(

Is the lender illegal in your state? Have you sent them an illegal/unlicensed letter communication or are you just ignoring them? You need to let them know what's going on. If they're illegal tell them so and file your complaints. Revoke ACH permission and any wage assignment you've signed, etc.

I received an email from these people just yesterday. I have filed a complaint with the AG in my state as this company called me at work yesterday and today. I too had a loan through paydaymax, I paid back principle only and now they are trying to get $400.00 more out of me. Good luck with that! CPD is not licensed in the state of AZ, and paydaymax is not a legal lender so I don't feel threatened by them. Nonsense as to the baloney in their email. I've not called CPD and I have no intentions of calling them or anyone else. I do all of my correspondence via email, fax or USPS. I want everything in writing. Being that CPD is not licensed in the state I'm in I doubt they can do anything to effect my credit and if so, you can always dispute it with the credit reporting companies. If you are knowledgeable, and have your paper work in order in dealing with these types of people you will come out on the plus side.
