I am not trying to spook you,
I am not trying to spook you, however If the Mandarich Law Group said they sued you they did. Out for Service means the Sheriff or a private process server has the papers to serve you with a compliant. . As a debt negotiator (not an attorney) I have dealt with them a few times and they are easy to deal with. All they want is money. Offer them a very low settlement in multiple payments and they will counter within the clients settlement parameters. Get rid of it if you can. If you have the ability it's a few phone calls and money and over. No need to lose sleep over it. Its already done.
It’s been “out for service”
It’s been “out for service” since August? I agreed to two payments of $500. They were supposed to be sending something via email AND in writing of the agreement and I haven’t received anything.
If I get the papers, what do I do? Go to court and say it’s been paid? I’m in Illinois and they are in California. They do have a Chicago office but I’m about 3 hours from Chicago. I called a lawyer yesterday and he said he could not find anyrhing listed under my name in the county I work in or the county I live in. I have no problems paying the amount we agreed on- I just want it paid and done with.
if they do try something
if they do try something.again have the proof of said payments.then get that lawyer you called to sue them on a contingency.meaning they get paid by the idiot who took the 1000 as agreed and still sued.
i live in illinois as well
i live in illinois as well, and LVNV don't play fair.i would keep proof of the two payments.the reason?wouldn't put it past either party to take that money, and act like they never received it.what county do you live in?i was in cook, but now am in kane.
You were right, they did sue.
You were right, they did sue. In my hometown court back in August. I’ve lived in that town pretty much my entire life and moved last July... that’s why I never got a summons. Odd thing is, they have my current mailing address. I paid one payment to them today and the rest will be paid next week. I was shocked- I didn’t know whether to throw up or cry.
Have you asked for a document
Have you asked for a document from them? You need something to prove that you have paid off your debt.
