crs threat of prosecution

yes it is.debts are civil matters not criminal ones.threatening arrest is an fdcpa violation.who is the bottomfeeder that did that?

so what is my next step...by the way the debt is in my wifes name not mine, but louisiana is a community property state so i doubt that will help

In louisiana only one party to a conversation has to be aware that the conversation is being recorded so I am covered there... your thoughts????

I would suggest hiring an NACA attorney....they are versed in consumer and collection laws. You do not have to pay them anything.....legal costs will be charged to the offending party!!
