Ive been working to get rid of some debt very successfully and just paid my 4th debt off this year, (out of nine)i just received a call from northland group today ,its the first call ofcourse ive heard some bad things about them. I do know how these guys work, since its always a recording, only saying its a business matter. Whats the best way to deal with them, if I just paid something off and funds are low, Should I wait and call them when I do have enough money to pay a partial on the account I owe. Also I havnt rec'd any letter's from them, so when should i expect one,and when do they send this to a lawyer?
Any advise would be helpfull.
Thanks

Tom

Please see this thread in regards to a firm that is pursuing legal action against Northland among other companies

Also if you do a search (up to the right) using the keyword "northland" you will find that there are many threads regarding this company. Good luck

Since you are paying off your debts the people you are paying off is updating your credit report with your new address, phone number.. ect. Something that might have had old info on it. Expect more calls and possibly new letters.

Ask them to send you somehting in writting or mail to them a debt verification letter. If it was me, in all honesty I would wait to return any calls until I had somehting to give them. Limit the amount of time I would have to speak to them incase you get someone who isn't very considerate.
