Who do I pay??
Date: Tue, 08/14/2007 - 21:51
I have 4 accounts on my credit report that are not with the original creditors. They have been referred to 3 separate CA.
- 1 to NCO Financial
- 1 to ANFI Bloom
- 2 to Credit Protection Associates
I am in a position to deal with these debts and I want to start paying them off, but where do I start? I was going to negotiate with the creditor to have the debts remove or listed as paid in full, but can a CA do that? I mean even if a CA is listed as Paid in Full, isn't the fact that there is a CA on my credit report bad regardless of the disposition?

First off send a debt validation letter to each collector certified return receipt mail.If they can validate the debt, then you could try to setup a contract to delete the account from credit reports in exchange for payment in full.
