Okay, two months after I initially requested a dv letter, with a follow up letter, I received debt validation from a CA today. The letter kind of cracked me up because it was typed in all caps. Are they trying to yell at me on paper? Seconcly, I cannot read anything they sent me as far as the dv goes. It looks like a bunch of copied print screens from the original creditor. They were very poorly copied and I honestly can't read them. Thirdly, the amounts don't much even though he states that they do. I have made a payment to the original creditor which they cashed. Do I have any recourse on this?

You surely know what to do next?? Dispute it mentioning the fact that the debt is not fully validated as per the FDCPA59. Throw them the link to the fdcpa website on debt validation. Send your dispute letter through CMRRR for your documentation. Make a deal with the original creditor if the problem gets resolved the other way.

Monitor your credit report regularly. Any reporting from this collector is unauthorized because you are already putting it on dispute. It should show up in your credit report as it stands now. Engage the CRA also to verify the item from this CA.
