You surely know what to do next?? Dispute it mentioning the fact that the debt is not fully validated as per the FDCPA59. Throw them the link to the fdcpa website on debt validation. Send your dispute letter through CMRRR for your documentation. Make a deal with the original creditor if the problem gets resolved the other way.
Monitor your credit report regularly. Any reporting from this collector is unauthorized because you are already putting it on dispute. It should show up in your credit report as it stands now. Engage the CRA also to verify the item from this CA.

Honestly, this is one of the very few times a CA actually attempted dv with me. They ususally ignore my dv requests and follow up letters. Okay, I'll point the fdcpa laws regarding validation.
