i'm reading a few things on here about crazy ways CA's seek default judgements, in other words filling so that you may never find out you were even being sued. so what does anyone with experience or knowledge know about this? personally i have a dmp that i'm doing my collections with but i can't help but wonder if some shady way of suing me will come about

There is always the possibilty that this may happedn. I would subscribe to a 3-in-1 monitoring service to see if any inquiries are made or new tradelines opened. Respond to any correspondence from CA's with a DV letter and stay vigilant.
