Default Final Judgment
Date: Wed, 06/24/2009 - 18:30
Forum,
Today I received in the US mail without a return address a default final judgment. I live in the State of Florida and never received a summons to appear in court. Is this something new? The cover letter advises me to fill out a Florida Small Claims Rule Form 7.343.
Can someone explain what the process is? The lawyer office listed on the cover letter has no phone number to contact, Borack & Associates, P.A. Maitland, Flordia. Please assist.
Thank you

Since it is a default judgment, you should immediately file a motion to vacate the judgment by visiting the clerks office in the court from where the judgment was passed. Motion to vacate a judgment should be filed within 30 days from the date you received the judgment notice from the court.
