They have been calling and making threats to my grandmother. What can I do to put a stop to this? I heard that there is a letter I should sent to them but I'm not sure what it's called or what its supposed to contain.


Do you know if this debt is valid for you or your grandmother? You can send them a request for debt validation, along with a cease and desist contact, other than via USPS. If I am not mistaken, this CA is a DBA of LVNV- so be carefull in dealing with them. Keep notes or record, if legal in your state, and send all correspondence Certified, return receipt.

It would be better if your grandma didn't answer these idiots- it will get her nowhere to talk with them.

As I said, keep notes of days called, times, names and what was said- you may need these!!

There are sample letters of these and I know that Cajun and JCMET have them in their signature line.

the letter is called a ceased and desist that means you want them to stop calling give a aor and tell them to contact her by mail
