I don't know what to do. I sent for debt validation and the Attorney for the creditor (they represent Capital one) sent me back what looks like a court document but it has NO COURT FILE NO and it is called Plaintiff's first set of Interlocking discovery. They want me to fill out all the Interrogatories and send it back to them. They sent me in this packet exhibits which include signatures and payments I had made on this account. But there is no court file numbers, but it looks official. I don't know what to do.. i don't want to give them info if they are just searching for more info against me. I don't have the money to pay I only owe $2000, but I am on a govt pension as I am retired/with disability . I get 200 a month and that's all I have...no house nothing. Stay with family. What is this ... what should I do ? I guess I should contact the courts on Monday to see if they have filed anything yet ? What is this? What should my next steps be? PLEASE HELP.

was the term interlocutory?, normally this term applies to certain actions during a lawsuit. If they haven't already filed suit, they may have simply used the format to scare you. In a lawsuit interlocutories are questions asked by one side that the other side is compelled to answer. If they have not filed suit, you are not compelled to respond. At a minimum, however, it looks as though they have provided validation of the debt, so you may wish to contact the attorney and tryt and work out something.
