Lost my job on Feb. 2009, went with a debt settlement company, settled the Disney account and kept depositing to settle the CitiBank. Got a Complaint last June 2010; and 2 Request for Entry of Default, one 3/11/2011 and another on 5/11/2011. My company is trying to settle with them, but they want more than I have; I only have $8,000. What can I do now, because I didn't answer the complaint.

You have done a major mistake by not answering the complaint. What is the total debt amount? The debt negotiators will try their best to settle with them. They are professionals. You may leave this matter to them since you can't do much regarding this matter. Alternatively, start gathering money from different financial resources. You may also check whether or not any judgment order has been issued against you.

I will have a Case Disposition Hearing on Sept. 14, 2011. I let my company deal with them, I had been depositing money and asking for updates with my account.

My total debt was $9,.500 but with fees went to $11.697. My company is dealing with them, they had been talking for the last two months, they know I have some money to pay, can they froze my account?, I am unemployed and do not have any assets, just an old car.

Yes, you should ask for the updates on your account on a regular basis. You should appear in the court on 14th September. Let us hope that the settlement company can resolve this issue before September. They can't freeze your account without a court order. So, you shouldn't worry about that right now. But try to find a job as early as possible. Otherwise, it will not be possible for you to pay any money on the account.

If they win the case and get a judgment order from the court, then they may even put a lien on your car. So, the best option will be to settle the debt before the court hearing date.
