I recently received another letter from these guys stating that they would give me a 50% discount if I paid them now.. I did call them and they are very rude in everyway.. My concern is that this is with AT&T just like some other people. I disputed these actions because they were fraudulent a few years ago. They were dismissed from my credit reports. How can they come back now and try to collect. They have had this AT&T account for some time now. They have requested that I get a police report and fill out an affidavit to dispute this with them. Any suggestions???? Thanks

Did you ever send Palisades a debt validation request in writing? Even if an account is removed from your credit report, some of these scummy collections agencies will still try and collect from time to time. I don't know if they think that consumers will forget what has transpired in the past and will just up and pay..
If you still have the police report you should mail them a copy
If you still have the police report you should mail them a copy of it explaining that these charges were a result of fraud.
