i sent a debt validation request to one om collection agencies on my report. i got nothing back in return. but they(ca) updated their info on my tu file within the 30 days, but i got nothing..do they have to send me anything or is updating on cr enough? any resolutions at this point..thank you..

no they should you you the information requested. Since they updated your CR without notifying you they are actually in violation od the FDCPA and you can sue for $1,000 per violation. Send them and ITS letter for not sending you violation before they reported, that should quicly make them start paying you some attention :)

Im not sure where the exact template is. You can write them a 2nd letter to validate, enclose your orginal letter, and tell them that they are validating information to your credit report which is actually further collection efforts that they are not allowed to do. Tell them that they have 15 days to send you something as this is your 2nd request. If they still dont send anything send and its letter and also report to bbb, ftc and your state's attorney general. Each time that they call or continue to collect when you have sent a dv is a $1000 per violation. and send everything CMRRR so you have proof that you tried to work with them should it go to court.
