Sent ER Solutions a DV a few weeks ago, and today received this reply:

Quote:
ERS no longer has any interest in the tradeline listed below or there is an identity problem requiring immediate action.

Please delete any ER Soultion reference off the credit bureau of the person listed. A copy of this letter should be retained by the person listed and the credit bureau should be contacted directly should there be a problem in the future.

This was for a old credit card I once had through my bank.

So what does this do to my account? Does it get sold to another CA? Gets placed back with the original agency? Or is that the end of it?

The letter is addressed to all three credit bureaus. Do I now qualify for a free report, since they are adjusting my reports? (I already used up my free one for this year). Should I send a copy of this letter to the credit bureau, and ask for a free copy of my updated report?

I'm no expert here, by far. But from the way it read, ER Solutions has apparently decided "something" is in error and had the negative mark removed from your report with the credit bureaus. Now, if the original creditor comes back to haunt you, or a different collection agency comes back to haunt you, you would probably have to fight and do the whole debt validation thing again. But ER Solutions is apparently "done" with you. At least it has been taken off of your credit report. Did you find this negative mark on your credit report and dispute it? If you did, then you can go back into your credit reports as an "update" on the investigation. I don't know if that's what you did. I did & was able to go back in once the "investigation" was done & the negative mark removed & printed out a new report. Like I said, I'm no expert here! But this was my experience.

I found ER Solutions because they were listed on my credit report (one that I paid for, as I said I used up my free ones back in March). I didn't know what they were for, so sent them a DV.

Not to sure what you mean here. I paid for my three reports via 3-in-1 through TransUnion. I believe this gives my 30 days access, which should be up soon. I logged into it tonight, and it looks the same as it did on Day 1. Would I be able to see any changes since day 1? Or should I request a free one from the credit bureaus, since it should be updating. Would they give me a free one because of this letter?

I believe the only reason I was able to "see a change" on mine is because I had the credit bureaus do an investigation. Once their investigation was complete, I was sent an email telling me. I then logged back on and was able to see where the entry was deleted. Did you dispute the amount with the credit bureaus and ask for an investigation on line? That's how I did mine. And that's when they sent the email & I was able to go back in & check it & actually did see the change.
