Almost 4 months ago, I DV'd a collection company and to date they have not validated the debt...they have provided NOTHING...
Can they continue to charge interest if they haven't DV'd the account? I am told that they own it (they purchased it from the OC).

If the original contract with the OC allowed for the accrual of interest, then the subsequest JDB would be assigned that right as well. The DV would only halt collection efforst, not the accrual of additional interest.

It seems strange that they don't validate, but yet can continue to accrue interest....so, lets assume that 2 years go by...they haven't DV'd and now the balance has ballooned!
They should be held accountable...if they don't validate then they shouldn't be able to collect/add on that interest.
