After reading this web site, I have become inspired to try to fix some negative items on my credit report. I have a question about debt validation. If you didnt respond from the collection agencies within the original 30 days they sent collection letters, can you still make them validate the debt before you offer any settlments? Please advise thank you.

Are these debts still w/in your states Statute of Limitations? How significant are they? Failure to dispute w/in the 30 day period is not an admission of the debt in any way. You can DV at any time but they do not have to respond or cease collection efforts. If these are still w/in SOL, it might be best to let sleeping dogs lie.
