Last week I sent a DV letter CMRR to Asset Management Services. I got the address directly from my credit report. I checked the tracking number today and it is being returned to me as undeliverable.

Now what? Do I have to find a new address for them and spend another $4.64 to mail a new DV letter?

Is there cause for dispute on my credit report now? I can't keep shelling out money only to have these letters returned to me!

Jenna

is there any notation as to why its is undeliverable? They may have simply refused to accept the letter. Keep the letter and the CMRRR documentation. Did your credit Report also list a phone number? If so, call them and ask for the proper address. IF not then dispute the reported information as inaccurate. The CRA will have to investigate it, and if they manage to validate it you can ask for the the inforamtion they used to validate it, including the address phone numbers and contacts at the company who validated the account.

I just went through some old paperwork, and I have an old letter from Financial Asset Management, so I guess that's who it is. There is a different address listed in the letter, so I guess I'll shell out another $4 and mail it again once I get it back. I don't understand though why they would have an incorrect address listed on my CR! If I didn't have this other letter I would not have any clue who the "actual" CA was, due to other searches resulting in different names as listed by Christina.

I think I'll still write the credit bureaus and dispute it as incorrect information.

Ugh, this whole credit repair/debt settling/validation stuff is a big pain in the neck! (Yes, I realize it's my own fault)

Jenna, call the credit bureau toll free number and verify the company address. If they ask for a reason, mention that your mail returned with a failure delivery. So you are requesting the updated address in their system. While checking your file, the bureau will ask for your personal info known to you only. You will have to pass that check. Try if it helps
