You need to contact the credit bureaus yourself and report the listings as incorrect. There is a template for you to use in the DIY section of this site under sample letters-Sample Dispute letters to the collection agencies.

Yes, twice I have disputed the item and sent them the copies of the Debt Validation that I sent also the copies of the Certified Receipt return cards. They sent me twice, letters that the company verified debt and items remain on credit report. Experian is the only one that will not dispute debt again. this company place this on all three reports.

Yes I have disputed this debt twice with all three credit reporting agencies and they have come back Verified and Owing. I sent them all paperwork that I sent to this collection agency with the signed returned receipts and to no avail they still are reporting this on the three bureaus.

One thing that you can do is send the collection agency another debt validation letter through certified mail, requesting a return receipt. After you get back the signed return receipt, immediately send in a dispute letter to the credit bureaus through certified mail. Now, whenever you file dispute with the bureaus, they notify the collection agency of the dispute, and ask them to verify the debt with them. This has to be done within 30 days.
However, before the collection agency can verify the debt with the bureaus, they will have to validate it with you. Else they will be in violation. This puts the collection agency in a time crunch. If they fails to validate the debt with you, it results in deletion of the account.
Thank you for your response but I have gone beyound all of that.
Thank you for your response but I have gone beyound all of that. 10 days after the initial 30 day period I sent them a second letter. Letter of Default, and gave them 10 days to remove the line from my credit reports. I then turned around and redisputed the items with the creidt reporting agencies. One turned me down completely and said they will not initiate a new investigation since the creditor already validated the debt, Trans-Union sent me a letter saying that my request for a dispute was "Frivilous" and I am currently waiting to here from Equifax. they have already violated the FDCPA by validating this debt 5 days after my Debt Validation letter was sent out. Oh and by the way, I never received any written notice of this debt until I was notified from the credit bureau that this item had been placed on there and a letter from the collection company saying we have gotten your dispute and need additional information from you! Huh? And they said this debt is from October of 2005! I have never had a Sprint contract and I made them aware of this. Thats why they cant produce any paperwork on this debt cause there is none!!!!! I just cant believe they are still trying to collect on something that they clearly cant prove!
Thank you very much for you good advice. I checked the website
Thank you very much for you good advice. I checked the website and did call one and hope to hear back. Maybe you can help me with this, If i decide to take them to small claims myself, just to save some money, do I have totake the credit bureaus seperately all three? In otherwords, will I have a total of 4 small claims cases and since they are all spread out in different states, will I have to file in there respective states? Just wanted a little heads up just in case the guy I called doesn't do work on a contingency. Thanks again.
