Midland Funding

Hey I've had a bill from Midland for about 2 years supposedly from SBC the phone company in Springfield, MO I have ignored it because I have only found negative info on the company. They are trying to settle for 80.00 which is no big deal seeing how it's effecting my credit but does anyone have any adivice?

Opinion...I would pay it if it is effecting my credit. But I believe you can contact the original creditor where you incurred the debt and see if you can pay it to them. I have done that..but I have also been told no and had to go through the CA. IF you decied to pay it, I would not give the CA my account information. I would pay through money order or money gram so there is proof I paid it and I would send it USPS - certified return receipt.
