Hi everyone,
I have had at least 5 different collection agencies either call me or email me and each one is saying that they are working for CMG GROUP LCC. And each one of these so-called groups are all in different states. They are "Mary Summers & Assoc", "AAG Claims", "Lombardo, Davis, Goldman firm", "Apax Financial LCC" and the latest one was from someone called "BGA" (?) They are from GA, FL, NY, IL, and the actual loan company (CMG) is in MO, according to what little I can find about them.
This latest one, (BGA), I actually talked on phone with them the other evening and she said that she got her information from some other company, cant remember what she said, and that both of them are from the original CMG. She called my parents home and has been trying to get me for some time now. I asked her why she is calling this specific number and how did she get it and she told me that they have their ways of finding out information. I kept telling her that I want her to stop calling this number and then she said "so I can put on record that you are refusing to pay your debt?" I told her I want them to stop calling my parent's home and then hung up. She was also giving me a different total owed from all the other places and it was a much higher amount. I also am suspicious about some calls made to me at the same number, right after I actually spoke to the BGA woman. A woman called and would not leave name or number and said that she was from my actual bank and was returning my phone call, which I never made to my bank, and then the next evening a man called asking for me and he wouldn't leave a message or name or call back number either. I find that strange that if they were my bank then they would give me info to call them back with, so I am wondering if it is the collection agency just trying to get me back on the phone...
how can so many different companies have the right to claim they are trying to get me to pay a debt from only one original specific company?
I still have Nationwidecash calling me and leaving messages at work, so between Natonwidecash and CMG Group, I am losing all patience. I reported Nationwidecash to the dept. of justice consumer protection division in DE, which is where they seem to be located. Have already reported them to my AG office in NC. I am so tired of dealing with these people, I feel like they can do anything they want to and contact anyone and try to ruin my name and reputation. Will they ever give up?
