I received a call from landmark litigation informing me that i owed a company x amount of money and they needed payment arrangements or i would be summons at work or at home. I set up payment arrangements but come to think of it, i dont have any documentation from them stating that everything would be cleared or a return number. Should i still keep my end of the arrangement?

Hey..gimme your phone number...I need money!!!!

Seriously, you promise to give to someone who just calls you? Hopefully you did not give them your checking account number or credit card number...if so, you need to close the checking account and/or report your card as stolen. And stop talking to random people who call you.
