855-272-1417...This is a new number to me!!
Date: Tue, 01/10/2012 - 08:30
Greetings- I am not new to the tactics collection agencies will use (they've called themselves "agents," said they were filing suit against me tomorrow in "X" county if I didn't pay money by 12:00 that day, etc.), but this particular scenario is new to me.
Yesterday, a blocked number called my parent's house (we all live in Texas, but in different cities). The woman on the phone said she was "a courier for PCS" and needed to serve court documents on me (the phone was answered by my brother). She referenced a "case number," and then proceeded to list my parent's names, my brother's name, and my husband's name. My brother told me she said something along the lines of "I can't tell you what this suit is in reference to, it's confidential, but you will all have to sign, or she (me, apparently) can sign for all of you." He hung up on her.
This morning, a blocked number called my parent's house again, and this time, my mother answered. The woman didn't identify who she was with today, but again said she was a courier. She told my Mom she had court documents to serve on me, and then proceeded to list every address I've lived at since I was 18 (which was quite a while ago...) and said she would go to them all today (the addresses are in 3 different cities...) and serve the papers on me. She again gave the case number, and said I needed to call 855-272-1417.
Has anyone else had any contact/experience with this number or this type of phone conversation? I looked for any motions filed in the counties where something could be filed against me, and didn't see anything referencing my name or supposed case number. I also searched the internet for courier services named "PCS," but the only place with that exact name has locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, etc., definitely not in Texas. I googled the phone number as well, and only saw two comments in connection with that phone number, both just saying that they received a call saying they were being served with papers. Any information/advice anyone can give me would be appreciated. I don't think there is anything anyone could be suing me for, so if this is another scam collection attempt then I would prefer to only have contact with them in writing.
Many thanks in advance for your advice!

Well for starters, stop answering blocked numbers. Secondly...
Well for starters, stop answering blocked numbers.
Secondly...call them back and tell them to come serve you today....you will meet them at your local police department.
