I just got a subpoena for a Financial Disclosure Hearing, for an account i dint know i had. Any help would be great. Do i send a DV letter? I am in VT,and the subpoena was started by the Law office of Paul lee Schiff.Help how do i deal with this their are no account #'s or anything just says Capital one bank. Thanks Larry

Oh god not them,,,,they are a crooked bunch so be careful. If they sued you a DV letter will do no good. I don't know how the courts work in your state are you sure it is a subpoena or is it a summons??

The Statute of Limitations in VT is 6 years, so if it eventually comes to you that it is yours and has been longer than 6 years since a payment was made, they cannot sue you for it and if they do it can be thrown out of court......plus you can sue them for up to $1,000 for that violation.
