I was sued by first resolution for a debt that was past sol....in 2007 the sent me a statement saying that bought the debt from another debt company not the original debtor providian I am taking them back to court do I have a change to win...has anyone else had trouble with this company

Well Guest, the collection agency can carry on with collection efforts even after the statute of limitation has expired, but they can't take any legal action against you.
Did you ask for a debt validation previously? As far as the legal suit is concerned the ultimate decision is that of the judge, so if you're having strong evidences to prove against First Resolution, you may get a favor.
