If they violate your rights and you have documented proof, then you can take them to court and get a very easy win...most times it won't even go to the judge as once they realize you are serious they suddenly want to settle out of court which usually means a tidy little check for you and complete purge of the file from your credit reports.

No reason to be. It is very easy to use the debt collection laws to force validation because it is very easy to document violations and then sue, even in small claims and these cases are slam dunks.
