oh.. well they filed the paper work as if I was living in arizona. But I live here in florida, can they do that.

So they sued you in arizona? Were you served??

yes they can do that..however, did you live anywhere near the residence in arizona when the case was filed? Pull your credit report, it will have the date of filed for your judgement on it. you can get a free credit report at annualcreditreport.com..check your dates..if you were not residing in arizona at the time creditor filed suit, then you may have permissible grounds for vacating the judgement against you due to improper service. check your credit report first..you may want to contact the courthouse inwhich case was filed to get a copy of the court action against you..hope this helps..sorry for the length..

You live in Florida so you are still in a non garishment state. They can't touch you from Arizona unless you have property there.

Florida IS a garnishment state Frog. However head of household is exempt.

Now as far as the official letters for garnishment happened when I just moved to florida. And what is head of household? It's just me and my husband.
