Need some help or advice on what to do..... CA (Jefferson Capital Systems) reported on my credit report of a old Checking acct which my Ex-wife let go per say...anyway when i saw it on my report i disputed with the CR and followed up with a Letter of Validation. to CA. Well today i received two letters from the CA one dated 4/8/2013 in response to my validation letter which i read they didn't validate as requested in my opinion and also stated that they have ceased collection of this account until such time Verifcation of the debt is provided to me, and requested the CRs delete the account from my credit file. The 2nd letter dated 4/11/2013 introducing me to the debt. requesting from me that I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt (their initial letter informing of the debt). Im unsure what to do.... Do I send another letter of validation or what? Cause it sounds like a ploy that they tell me there removing it then send me another debt letter, and if i dont respond they could say i validated the debt by not responding ????? Thanks for the help and advice

Contact with the credit bureaus and immediately inform them about this matter. I think the CA is a scammer. Send them a Cease and Desist letter in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. After that if they are still trying to contact with you, file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
