Help with Forster and Garbus NJ

Hi!
I recently received a letter from foster and garbus regarding and acount with cfinanc..
they were collecting it for protfolio recovery agency... i send them debt validation letter and they came back with just my name address my last ssn, amount and the date the acount open.
i find that info unsatisfactory and am sending them a new letter to send me the copy or proof of contract and payment history..
Is this the right thing to do?
please advice

there is no requirement in the FDCPA for them to send you a paym
there is no requirement in the FDCPA for them to send you a payment history.
